WOM Guizhou project department to normalize work
The first batch of 27 employees with WOM Guizhou project department arrived at Guizhou Fa’er power plant on July 1st. On the following three days they passed safety exam and obtained Exit-Entry Permit(EEP), and commenced work on July 5. Currently, this project is going on well, establishment of rules and regulations is underway, and more staff will come to this project, which will be of great importance for WOM.

Unit #2 initial ignition blowing with great success in WOM Turkish project department
The newly-built unit ignition blowing in power plant is an important milestone during the period from unit under construction to operation, indicating the new unit will shortly start up as a whole. According to the general plan of ICDAS power plant commissioning headquarters, unit #2 ignition blowing is set to conduct in late May. Boiler #2 initial ignition won a great sucesss at 0:15 on 23rd May local time. The joint cooperation among WOM Turkish project department and other construction units shortens greatly the time spent on unit #1 blowing, and only one week was occupied with unit #2, which has saved much time for the following start-up of the whole unit.

Power back feeding completed successfully in Turkish project department
The main construction of unit #2 in ICDAS power plant in Turkey approaches its conclusion, and all commissioning work is going on. According to master schedule of unit #2 commissioning headquaters, main transformer power back feeding will be conducted on 10 May. Newly-arrived electric technicians from WOM’s Turkish project department ensure unit #2 main transformer power back feeding a great success through extensive preparation and meticulous operation.

Blowing work of turbine auxiliary steam system of unit #2 accomplished by Turkey project department
A total of 14 workers divided into two groups, from WOM Turkey project department, arrive at work site on 24 March and 24 April respectively on schedule. Upon arrival, the first group started working immediately although they had a long journey and suffered a six hour time difference. According to commisioning plan, pipe blowing of auxiliary system will be conducted lately to ensure successful commisioning of initial sub-system. Project department has done every effort to check auxiliary steam system comprehensively, and remove faults in time. Pipe flushing was conducted at 9:00 pm local time, 5 April. Around 6:00 pm that evening, all staff gathered at central control room waiting for orders. Moreover, commisioning unit, installation unit and WOM project department arranged work again on safety, technology and personnel distribution before blowing. The project department attached great importance to the first sub-system commisioning of unit #2. Chen Huichun, head of project department, with Wang Zhipeng in charge of operation, directed work on site. Considering utilizing steam of unit #1 auxiliary steam header, Hefei, translator of project department, prepared operation plan in English, explaining impacts on and attentions to unit #1. In order to keep unit #1 running normally during the operation, Chen Huichun, manager of project department, supervised flush impacting on auxiliary steam system of unit #1, and blowing out steam condition at owner’s shift chief-operator station. Wang Zhipeng, carrying two walkie-talkies at central control room, was responsible for all the arrangements. Other workers did operation in an orderly way as scheduled. When pipe warming got to rated temperature, blowing was done immediately as planned, flushing admission steam pipes from auxiliary steam to deaerator, and from auxiliary steam to BFPT for three times. The work didn’t end untill 11:30 pm with a great success. WOM staff was praised for diligence and endeavor by Heilongjiang No.3 Construction Engineering Co.,Ltd, who is in charge of construction of the power plant, and leaders of ICDAS, who is the owner.

The urgent repair to coal conveyor belt in Xiexin Project Department of WOM started
Xiexin Project Department of WOM started urgent repair to coal conveyor belt #2C(Phase Ⅱ), 17th March. This replacement of belt #2C was characterized by heavy work and tight schedule. During repair, working groups would rectify defects and do some routine maintenance of coal handling system, like periodic repair to motor 2C-3 of belt #2C, couplers disconnection of 4 belt motors and dismantling a speed reducer to send it to repair in OEM. Compared with PhaseⅠ, the workload had doubled with 10 workdays. So Project Department had made thorough preparation before starting work, specifying maintenance procedures, requirements for technology, time schedule and safety measures and appointing persons in charge of each work section to ensure repairing work would go on systematically.
