At 13:06 on July 10th, 2018, the maintenance started and after the unremitting efforts, at 17:26, with the long stop whistle of the lifting commander, the Unit #2 generator rotor of the Puttalam Power Station that was overhauled by WOM has been safely and smoothly drawn out of the stator chamber.

        After drawing out of the stator, the electrical maintenance personnel immediately carried out a comprehensive inspection for the stator end windings, slot wedges and winging bar of the generator due to the consideration of the local marine humid climate. All participants overcome all difficulties, act in strict accordance with the B-level maintenance process and quality requirements of the Unit #2. Moreover, the meticulous maintenance as well as the site safety work is controllable, and all maintenance work is progressing smoothly according to the time node.
